B-492’s unique construction and adhesive allows laboratories to identify frozen, frosted, or room temperature vials for storage in liquid nitrogen environments. (-196C) § B-492 is opaque enough to cover critical, and legally protected, patient information so the customer can comply with HIPPA requirements.
When printed with the R-6400 series ribbon, B-492 provides very good solvent resistance to common laboratory solvents like Ethanol, Toluene, Xylene and DMSO.
When printed with R4300 series ribbon, B492 yields low to moderate solvent resistance. This ribbon can be used in labs that do not expose their labels to solvents.
B492 can adhere to the vial with no overlapping necessary so end-user may view level of content of the vial. § Although primarily designed for curved surfaces, B-492 can also be used to identify flat surfaces like racks, boxes, and slides. (specific customer application testing recommended)
